2009 NGCOA - North Carolina Fall Conference
The North Carolina Chapter of the National Golf Course Owner's Association will host a Fall Conference this year in 2009. This meeting has been organized as a direct result of the opposition to the recent Recreation and Entertainment Tax proposal that the North Carolina State Legislature is considering in Raleigh. MANY owners and others interested in the future of the golf industry have expressed interest in becoming more active in the effort to protect the game, sport and business of golf in our state. Whether we win or lose the initiative against the tax, golf course owners and operators know that other legislative issues will arise, and that we need to speak to our elected officials with a unified voice.
The 2009 NGCOA - North Carolina Fall Conference will be an opportunity for golf course owners and operators to get fully informed on the tax issue and how we fared in the opposition effort, learn about other pending legislative matters that might affect golf, hear some great educational sessions on topics critical in today's challenging times, and network with the best and brightest golf operators in the business today!
Since this conference is actually a REACTION to very recent developments on the legislative front, we are offering the opportunity for YOU to tell us what you want to see, hear and do during the event. Whether you are interested in attending or not, PLEASE fill out the ON-LINE SURVEY to give us your input on what you see as priority topics that affect the business of golf in our state.
